General Physical Preparedness Health

What is GPP?

General Physical Preparedness (GPP) is typically defined as a system to improve overall fitness and work capacity before moving into Specialized Physical Preparation. It is often seen as the preparatory phase of a training program. However, it can be a system in and of itself for anyone looking to improve their health and fitness.

Let’s face it. Most of us aren’t super athletes. While I believe everyone should train athletically, many people make the mistake of jumping into a fitness routine headfirst. This ends up causing more problems than it solves. Burnout, injury, and lack of motivation due to repetitive routines are key reasons why people don’t make fitness part of their daily life.

GPP Health provides free fitness education for your organization as well as offering one on one training opportunities for those looking for personalized support.
